KONG does recommend sizing up if a dog destroys a KONG in a short period of time. The size increases the thickness of the rubber making it harder for a dog to get leverage on the product and therefore making it less prone to destruction.

Care & Use
To use in a dishwasher only use a cool or warm water rinse cycle, no drying cycle, and the toy be placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher only. Regular hand soap or dish soap shouldn't have any effect on the rubber. Kong personally suggests that the toys be washed in the sink using a bottle brush or similar brush to get leftovers out of the inside.
